Some days you find yourself saying...remember when? And what follows are flashes of memories. The memories come one after the other and play in your mind like a mini movie. The days gone by that you drift to are no doubt very special moments- unforgettable moments you want to keep forever.
Darn that mini movie. Some of those scenes trigger laughter, blushing, tears, and sighs. I find I am always wishing for more of them.
In one of my absolute fav mini memory movies, my sister and I are enjoying the beauty of outdoors and swinging on a swing. We loved to swing. We imagined reaching the clouds with our feet as we pumped higher and higher. I remember how awesome it felt to feel the breeze on my face and the soft whipping of my sisters long hair on my cheek. What special vintage moments we created being togther and simply swinging, talking...dreaming.
We are both a bit older now but we still LOVE meeting at the swing set like we are back in time. Who cares whose watching!
My sister and all the now vintage memories we made and the new ones we make even today are THE best. I get inspired to try and capture them in my illustrations. This illustration is one such example.
I hope this card sparked some courage in you to reach out to the one(s) you have vintage memories of and make more memories, Comfort to allow yourself the joy of reliving them again, and hope that you will always be close in heart to the one(s) you first dreamed with...even if you are not able to see each other- for now.
