My niece is a fantastic dancer. As I watched her dance with such grace and beauty, I was inspired to create an inspirational gift that would grace the outside of my gift. Then I got to thinking.
A lot of people save bows from packages- especially pretty bows.
So, here she is.
Meet Grace. Her gown is made out of a glittery gold ribbon. To add to the gowns beauty, I attached pieces of knock-out pretty large width, copper wire ribbon from none other than, the famous Jane Means ribbon collection. This copper ribbon has a pretty sheen to it that compliments the gold organza ribbon underneath- perfectly.
I placed and secured the face and bodice I drew, last. The incomplete figure is hidden where all the ribbon is gathered. For extra charm, I added jewelry, a gold tiara, and a ribbon rose in front and back.
I found a gold glittery piece of narrow ribbon and attached it behind her. I made a matching To/From gift tag to write my sentiments on and threaded the narrow ribbon piece through the gift tag hole. Now Grace was ready to adorn my wrapped gift to my niece.
I hope you enjoyed my first published version of Grace. I hope she will inspire and delight you.
I have many varieties of this inspirational gifts and will make them available in my zibbet shop in September.
Don't forget to check out Jane Means to see a sweet collection of ribbon. She has a lot of tutorials on how to wrap gifts and all kinds of great ideas to pretty up your packages just in time for the gift giving season.
Until next time....
All the best
Judy
