Scraps...inspirational gifts made with love. Would you believe everything on this wreath was made with with scraps of paper? The tulle and the green leaf vine are the only exceptions.
I used left over scrap paper mixed with glue and rolled in my hand like meatballs to form small paper balls. After making the number of paper balls I wanted, I cut a very thin narrow piece from same paper and glued it between a few of the paper balls. The paper curled like a piece of vine from a grape vine. The curled paper gave the embellishment a more three dementional look.
Yes! This beautiful fall wreath was made entirely with scraps. I hate to waste any colored paper. My creativity spikes when I see a pile of it. In the crafting world, there is no such thing as scraps to pitch. There are only scrapes that are somebody else treasure. Hey! I just thought of a rhyme. (Sorry if it's a bit corny.) Blame it on my creativity.
Scraps to pitch
Oh no. Oh why?
Scraps to craft with?
Oh yes. Do try.

The wreath that everything hangs on is also made of paper. Twisted paper to be exact. Two layers thick and sturdy so it holds it shape well and everything sticks securely to it.
I couldn't get a good pic of my bow made with tulle, but I have to tell you...I was happy with it. I am no pro bow maker but ...(Drum roll. Hint coming.) with the use of mini glue dots ,you can accomplish just about anything you want for a bow. It holds especially well with tulle.
I wanted to create a fun and uncomplicated fall craft kids could make that did not require a hot glue gun. This is it. Everything stayed fastened securely with none other than Aileen's Tacky Glue® (love this stuff!)
Another hint. As you know, some scrap paper is pretty light. Simply paint your completed flower with another craft supply favorite of mine. Paper Mod Podge®. It really rocks.

I hope you enjoyed this fall craft idea. So much fun and safe for children old enough to use glue and a scissors. So little clean up.
Notice I didn't use glitter. (Insert a smile here) So little clean up. (Insert another smile)
Until next time...
